Kim Moberg and Heather Swanson Concert: The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity In-Person
Join us as singer/songwriter Kim Moberg and fiddler Heather Swanson perform Kim's original suite, "The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity.” The suite tells the ancient yet relevant Anishinaabe legend of "The Seven Fires Prophecy," which teaches the importance of living together in respect and harmony for each other and our environment.
Award winning singer/songwriter Kim Moberg is an Alaska native (Tlingit) artist who suffered a lifetime of debilitating stage fright. In 2014 she set out to overcome that stage fright and wrote her first song.
Kim teamed with Grammy nominated producer Jon Evans to record three albums, all receiving critical acclaim and charting on the FAI DJ charts. Kim’s third release, “The Seven Fires Prophecy Suite for Humanity” (2023), is an original 8 song suite that tells the ancient yet relevant Anishinaabe legend “The Seven Fires Prophecy.” Kim and Jon joined together again for her fourth project, “All That Really Matters,” which will be released in 2025.
Kim's rich vocals have been described as “a blend of honey and whiskey.”
Heather Swanson is a classical violinist who crossed over to folk and traditional Celtic music. Heather grew up in a large family in the Boston area where there were many opportunities to grow in her relationship with music and the violin. She played in the pit orchestra each year for the Gilbert & Sullivan shows and traveled with the Greater Boston Youth Symphony, which led her to study music at Boston University and UMass/Lowell. She is a music educator, specializing in the Suzuki Method at her private studio.
Heather has performed with her cellist daughter Krista Lucich as the Cape Violin Cello Duo, as accompanist for Singer/Songwriter Kim Moberg, and in an Irish Duo featuring Traditional Irish Folk music. Heather also lends her talents to the pit band at Cotuit Center for the Arts in Cotuit in sold out productions such as “More Women Rock” and “Fiddler On The Roof.”
Heather’s first CD, titled “Beside Quiet Waters,” recorded and produced by Grammy-nominated producer Jon Evans, was released in 2019 and is a collection of traditional and contemporary Celtic tunes.
