Read to a Dog: Tales to Tails In-Person
Come by the library and read to a dog! The Companion Animal Program will bring its certified therapy dogs to listen to books being read aloud by children or their parents. The dogs love to be petted while being read to! CAP's Tales to Tails Children's Program capitalizes on the bond between children and dogs to improve literary skills of children while enhancing self-esteem and reducing self consciousness. The children read at their own ability to a patient CAP dog who listens attentively and is not judgmental.
All ages are welcome, and no registration is required. The CAP dogs are specially trained animals, please do not bring your own dog to the program.
