The Powers of the Presidency In-Person

Article II in the Constitution spells out the role, powers and guardrails that govern the Executive Branch in our system of government. This course will study each of those aspects of the presidency, and then look at how six presidents in our history have interpreted the role: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson and George W. Bush.

The course is taught by Dr. Jane Scarborough, a retired professor of Constitutional Law. She holds a PhD in American Constitutional History from Rice University, and a Juris Doctor degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
 

Registration is required and will open on March 15, 2024. Participants should register for the first class only, but will be signed up for the entire series.

Class is open to 65 participants.
